The NIMS Implementation Workshop was organised to unite key stakeholders in an extensive three-day dialogue to commence crucial steps towards developing the implementation plans of the National Integrated Maritime Strategy for Ghana. The workshop was graced by high level figures including the Chief of the Naval Staff Rear Admiral Issah Yakubu, Air Vice Marshall Frank Hanson and the National Security Coordinator Major General Francis Adu Amanfo (RTD). The workshop was funded by the Kingdom of Denmark and administered by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Global Maritime Crime Programme (UNODC GMCP) under the project; Strengthen Strategic Approaches to Maritime Security in Nigeria and Ghana.
